MCPS All-County Honors Ensembles are self-funded performing ensembles that provide recognition and special enrichment performance opportunities for talented and motived students.

The 2026-2027 schedule is different from prior years.
Key Notes: (1) Interested musicians must be nominated by their Educators, (2) Nomination dates by Educators occurs: Mid-August – Wednesday, September 23, (3) After nominations, caregivers must register their musicians, and (4) Registration Window: September 28 – October 19th.
The All-State Ensemble program is overseen by the Maryland Music Educators Association (MMEA), the professional association for the music educators of Maryland. All-State Ensembles give students the opportunity to participate in premiere, state-wide ensembles led by renowned conductors from Maryland and across the United States.

WCHS
Churchill offers a rich music experience beyond the classroom. Discover experiences that give students opportunities to lead, perform and be part of a vibrant music culture. This list is not exhaustive and will include more resources over time.
Churchill Camerata
Select mixed chamber choir that performs advanced choral repertoire and represents the program at special events and performances.
Pitch Pipes
Male a cappella group focused on contemporary repertoire, student leadership and independent musicianship.
Sirens
Female a cappella ensemble that performs contemporary and pop repertoire, emphasizing vocal blend and collaboration.
Tri-M
The only national honor society for students grade 6-12 in the USA, focused on musical leadership and connecting with the community.
